Just read this again and I forgot how much I love Tennyson!!

O YOUNG Mariner,
You from the haven
Under the sea-cliff,
You that are watching
The gray Magician
With eyes of wonder,
I am Merlin,
And I am dying,
I am Merlin
Who follow The Gleam.

Mighty the Wizard
Who found me at sunrise
Sleeping, and woke me
And learn’d me Magic!
Great the Master,
And sweet the Magic,
When over the valley,
In early summers,
Over the mountain,
On human faces,
And all around me,
Moving to melody,
Floated The Gleam.

Once at the croak of a Raven who crost it,
A barbarous people,
Blind to the magic,
And deaf to the melody,
Snarl’d at and cursed me.
A demon vext me,
The light retreated,
The landskip darken’d,
The melody deaden’d,
The Master whisper’d
“Follow The Gleam.”

Then to the melody,
Over a wilderness
Gliding, and glancing at
Elf of the woodland,
Gnome of the cavern,
Griffin and Giant,
And dancing of Fairies
In desolate hollows,
And wraiths of the mountain,
And rolling of dragons
By warble of water,
Or cataract music
Of falling torrents,
Flitted The Gleam.

Down from the mountain
And over the level,
And streaming and shining on
Silent river,
Silvery willow,
Pasture and plowland,
Horses and oxen,
Innocent maidens,
Garrulous children,
Homestead and harvest,
Reaper and gleaner,
And rough-ruddy faces
Of lowly labour,
Slided The Gleam.–

Then, with a melody
Stronger and statelier,
Led me at length
To the city and palace
Of Arthur the king;
Touch’d at the golden
Cross of the churches,
Flash’d on the Tournament,
Flicker’d and bicker’d
From helmet to helmet,
And last on the forehead
Of Arthur the blameless
Rested The Gleam.

Clouds and darkness
Closed upon Camelot;
Arthur had vanish’d
I knew not whither,
The king who loved me,
And cannot die;
For out of the darkness
Silent and slowly
The Gleam, that had waned to a wintry glimmer
On icy fallow
And faded forest,
Drew to the valley
Named to the shadow,
And slowly brightening
Out of the glimmer,
And slowly moving again to a melody
Yearningly tender,
Fell on the shadow,
No longer a shadow,
But clothed with The Gleam.

And broader and brighter
The Gleam flying onward,
Wed to the melody,
Sang thro’ the world;
And slower and fainter,
Old and weary,
But eager to follow,
I saw, whenever
In passing it glanced upon
Hamlet or city,
That under the Crosses
The dead man’s garden,
The mortal hillock,
Would break into blossom;
And so to the land’s
Last limit I came–
And can no longer,
But die rejoicing,
For thro’ the Magic
Of Him the Mighty,
Who taught me in childhood,
There on the border
Of boundless Ocean,
And all but in Heaven
Hovers The Gleam.

Not of the sunlight,
Not of the moonlight,
Not of the starlight!
O young Mariner,
Down to the haven,
Call your companions,
Launch your vessel,
And crowd your canvas,
And, ere it vanishes
Over the margin,
After it, follow it,
Follow The Gleam.

So here we go! Crackberry is sending you this message via my finger tips. Less then 48 hours till I am back in class!

Great news on classes, other then the math fiasco. Teacher dropped the ball which really pissed me off. I could have shot for a passing grade but she said she dropped me. WTF is up with that?

English two classes and I managed to not only pass Shakespeare, but I will never have to take the class again! YES! Medieval Literature and Inkjest printing was fantastic and I got ‘A’s in both. YA me!!

Less than 48 hours till I am landing in WA. I cannot wait to see all my family again and my best friend Kelly! This is going to be high stress but totally worth it!

So they updated to 3G up here and suddenly my edge rocks. Willow had a birthday party today and had a blast. The come tomorrow after lunch and I am so not ready. I cannot get the freaking house close to clean. We really need go through it inch by inch. Corner by corner. But when.

I am sick of school but I am going to go back again because I have too. Hopefully they won’t take away my Well.

I leave for Washington on Christmas and am going to try and carry two carry ons instead of checking in a bag. Good luck on that one with the way I pack.

fivebuckreunionIt is that time of year again and here I sit with stained fingertips and three tye die shirts ready to hit the Bluegrass Festival in Anderson, AK! I have come down early with my friend Randy and am looking forward to a nice relaxing week and an exciting weekend whooping it up at the festival! It will be my first time there and I am finding myself pretty manic! I have been cleaning Randy’s dorm room here at Clear AFB and drinking to much coffee.

But I needed this. Geoff may be losing his job officially as of Friday and I do not want to even think about what is going to be happening when I do not have insurance! I may have to go off my meds. I made sure that I got three months supplies on Monday so I will not run out till at least mid fall! Thank goodness.

Summer time is going well. My daughter is doing well with her bipolar meds. She is on Lamictal and other than fighting with her sister she is happy as a clam. The last couple of weeks she and Josephine have been at my parents enjoying some time with them and doing activities they only can do there! Kayaking, sailing, swimming in the bay. It is going to be sad when they have to go back to the trailor park with their dad and step mom.

fireThis again is a quicky and I will be getting more serious when school starts again in the fall. But I wanted to make sure people were  up to date. The other thing that is going on are our wildfires. They are very close to the river and the firemen do not seem to be able to get a handle on it.

Abilify maybe something I am getting off of because it makes me to manic even on the low dose I am on. But it has prevented me from needing Xanax all the time which is a plus. The rest of the medication seems to have me at maintenace.

I hope everyone is having a glorious summer. Fall is right around the corner and soon school will be starting. I cannot wait!!

My final project for Radio Production. It was fun to do, even with all the problems. Try getting some different bumper music and rewrite my script so it makes sense for everyone!

It is that time of the year! The last week of April and finals are next week. Most of my classes have a final project due this week. I managed to finish my radio production, though it is to short and is lacking one story I really wanted. I am at a loss for my English class and am having problems with writing, as usual. I need to really learn how to write again.

I am taking classes this summer. Math and a film noir class. I need to figure out how I am going to pay for the classes and the book for Math. Maybe I need to get a job and than at least I can work, have cash for fun and be taking classes. The only problem is that I do not do well with classes and work at the same time. Next semester I only have class TWR so I will be able to have a job on Monday and Friday. I was told I should apply for OIT desktop support. I could work with a friend and enjoy the highest paid student job on campus. Still nothing compared to what Geoff has been making, but we are having issues with his finances and are behind a lot.

At any rate, I am still having issues with my allergies. Since I cannot take allergy medication, I am stuck suffering. Thankfully it has gotten warmer and more of the snow is melted and not puddled so I am not having as bad of a time as I was a week ago. At any rate it is going to be in the 70′s today and I plan on enjoying the greening land as long as I can before bucking down and writing.

report-cardI am a proud MOM! ME? I am doing great. I am not ahead but am caught up and working ahead on classes and finals! I signed up for my summer classes (Film Noir and my Math class) and have to get a signature for my fall classes. ONE of these days I will graduate!!! It has been a GREAT week!!

And a thanks to Greg, once again, for letting me borrow Farscape! ROCK ON!

victoryI had a great day today, other than the heat still being out and so the kids cannot come over. Safety reasons that I can respect. I found out I got the highest grade on my midterm for Radio Production in the class. I waited till after I found out from my teacher, Theresa Bakker to tell her that I totally had spaced the retake of the exam till an hour before I took it. Our heat had went out so the day of the exam I ended up going home and sleeping instead of attending class because I did not sleep well the night before. Geoff slept downstairs alternating between the stove and the heater he borrowed from his mom. I slept for twenty minutes at a time and by the time I got to class I was a mess. I had also been experiencing depression, as mentioned in earlier posts, and so was really out of it. Thankfully she said just take it later next week before class. I of course spaced because I was working on other projects, including one for that perticular class.

firefighterBut HEY I got a HIGH grade, not just a high grade, BUT the HIGHEST! PLUS I got all the extra credit right! I did not miss ONE question! That is a feather in my bonnet FOR SURE!!! Than to top that off I did my 10th assignment in my digital photography class and the teacher said it was the best one sent in on any of his classes thus far! He said that it was the hardest choice in all the exercises and I do not think I did the best I could do but I liked what I had and so I left it at that.

So this week is ending on a good note. I have a quiz today in math but that should be ok. I studied and it is harder than I would like it to be, but hey that is life! Now for a nice relaxing homweork filled weekend!

psychiatric-medicationWell I went in to see my doctor yesterday and I told her that with the onset of more sunlight I am getting more depressed. It is like I have the opposite of SADD.  Instead of changing my dosages she decided to add Lexapro. From what I read it is liking adding another mixer to the cocktail. It will not be a maintenance drug but it will help up the levels so I am more in the middle instead of dipping into depression like I have been. This will also have a positive effect with my school work because I do much better if I have a little mania creeping into the mix!

We will see after I have been on it for the rest of the semester. Hopefully it is not to late to make a difference. Especially after this morning during my radio production class. I really wanted to work with this one girl in the class because she has experience. It is not that I do not think I can do the work by myself, it is I am very unconfidant. The more I think about it the better I feel. It was just that no one wanted to be in a group with me, most folks wanted to do their own show without having to produce a package with another person. It could have been that if there were two people in a group it had to be a twenty minute show. But with just theirselves it is only ten minutes. I am sure I could come up with a proposal by next Tuesday for a show with voxpops and two short features that would be successful. Maybe even follow in my gamer tracks and do a girl gamer show. So I can editorialize it a bit, or make it more feature orientated. At any rate I am a little down about it and more than a little nervous. But I have a month to turn it in!
